"Brush and Sky II"
5" x 7"
Oil on hardboard panel
Sold
A few weeks ago, I did a little plein air study that went south on me. As is often the case when painting outdoors, conditions went from bad to worse quickly. Scattered clouds turned into heavy, dark clouds and persistent gusty winds sent me heading for my truck in a hurry. I figured I'd re-work the painting when I got back to my place, but I didn't get around to it until today. I lightened-up the sky quite bit, and tried to more accurately capture the color of the local brush. I'll let it dry for a few days and then I'll decide if I want to put it up for auction.
